Associate Professor of Taxation Law
Paul is an Associate Professor of Taxation Law at the Flinders University Business School in Adelaide. He is also a Chartered Accountant and one of Australia's leading tax writers. His Australian Tax and Concise Tax Legislation books, published by LexisNexis are now in their 15th editions. His Tax Quick Reference Cards are in use by most Australian universities, the tax profession and the Australian Taxation Office.
He is a past winner of Flinders University teaching awards, including the Vice Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching 2006. He has received a number of university research awards and was a finalist in the LexisNexis Centenary law book competition for his book Small Business Tax Opportunities (2013 LexisNexis). He has authored over 100 books, refereed journal articles, national and international conference papers.
Paul is a former President of the Australasian Tax Teachers Association and has over 20 years’ work experience with the Australian Taxation Office. He has a wine business with vineyards in the beautiful Barossa and Hunter valleys. He organises a yellow day on Day 3 of the Adelaide test match for child cancer charity, involving colleagues, students, alumni, tax professionals and SACA members.
